I read about Saurabh Phadake in a local news paper and I am thrilled ! Actually I felt a bit ashamed that I was not vigilant to know about him. He is just 24 yrs, an architect who specialises in aligning with nature. He has used his knowledge to build a school – Amansetu – totally devoid of cement etc. It is just amazing to see his approach – not just talking about it but actuating these architectural concepts. It is like the way birds build their nests – why can’t human beings build their houses? That means the housing would mainly be anchored in geographic situations around. Thus Sourabh specialises in building structures, those are eco-friendly, suitable to the environment around. He believes in educating people around so that they can understand the ways to build homes aligning with the ecosystem.

He has published a book on sanitation- is translated in Spanish. This book is a part of school curriculum in the south america and Indonesia.

When I know about such individuals – I wonder at the negativity we nurture !
